Searching and Waiting for My Muse

Still searching for a muse
But not really searching
Just waiting . . .
Hoping for at least a spark
At least a rebirth
Or an ignition
Just a spark
Or something . . .
I know not what?
At least I don't think so
Or maybe I do know
But am just afraid
Afraid of being alone
And being abandoned
Or maybe even worse
Whatever that might be
Maybe lost . . .
But I won't give up
So I'll continue on
Searching and waiting
Then searching some more
For my elusive muse
