Happy New Year 2014

Belated Happy New Year!
Though it might sound sappy
Indeed, I am quite happy
Facing the future without fear

I have no resolutions
No problems or goals
Except for solutions
That will be guides for my soul

I am grateful for health
And for family and friends
I  love life and living
I don't care about wealth

I happy and content
I love breathing fresh air
And since it has all fallen out
I'm content having no hair

Yes, sometimes my joints ache
But not to extreme
My life has been good
Like a pleasurable dream

To my way of thinking
I have done it all
I have traveled the world
And have always stood tall

At times I have lost
But mostly I've won
Always trying to follow
Both the sun and the Son

I believe in God
And believe I've been blessed
And although not perfect
My life has been better than best

And of all my life's blessings
Of those things I value in life
The one I hold closest
Is my sweet loving wife

So as you can see
That in this brand new year
I am really quite happy
With nothing to fear
