Making Applesauce on a Wednesday Night in October

Wednesday night in late October
And its time to make applesauce
Steaming vintage Mason jars
Peeling and cutting apples
Bringing them to a boil
Then filling the jars
Full right to the top
And then caping each jar
Followed by more boiling
Then taking them out of their bath
Only to wait for the lid to pop
And applesauce making is done
At least for another year
