A Labor of Love on Labor Day
Labor Day is upon us
As are the last days of summer
With days growing shorter
Not quite as hot durung the day
And welcome cooler nights
So what to do on this day?
Some choose to play
Having a pinic or maybe fish
And that was kind of the plan
But the lawn needed mowing
Summer squash calling out
A reminder for harvesting
And so the day was well-named
As I labored in my yard
Yet, to be truthful
It was for me a labor of love
