Seeking the Truth

 Seeking for truth, looking for reason

Wanting my heart to not be guilty of treason

Seeking for truth in a myriad of ways

Is my focus in life every night and throughout my days

Seeking for truth from books and from people

I find myself guided to a church with a steeple

So seeking for truth, I fall on my knees

Praying to God to answer my pleas

Seeking for truth in both study and prayer

For God will show me the way, I find the truth there

Seeking for truth, God gives my life reason

Leading me towards the light

Away from sin and away from all treason
