Comments On the Topic of Love

 Love is such an expansive umbrella

It includes so many diverse dimensions 

Jesus tells us to love our brother

Which means our fellowmen (and women)

And includes our neighbors

Even those people we don't even know

But especially includes loving our spouse

Loving in all those ways that a man and a woman do

Hugging, touching, and kissing, and such . . .

However, there is one kind of loving that I struggle with

And that is loving those that I would consider my enemy

Although I really can't name any actual enemies at the moment

But I can name certain people that I don't chose or care to love

Those bad people who intentionally hurt others

Or have lifestyles and beliefs that injure others

Those person who would destroy the family unit

Or take the life of the newly both or worse, the unborn

And those who would take away our right to choose or think

Taking away our freedoms of self expression

Dictating that it is their way or the highway

Shaming those who have feelings and ideas that differ from their own

Those kind of people I really can't bring myself to love

It would be so nice if loving and loving were easy . . .
