Spring is Here

Spring is here
It is time to garden
There is so very much to do
Be it mow the lawn
And prune the trees
Or just spending time on my knees
Urging the new plants to grow

So here I am
In my garden
Enjoying the great out-of-doors
Encouraging ladybugs to do their thing
Listening to songbirds as they sing
And tilling the warm earth
Until I'm sore

Yet, my gardening isn't a chore
This is how life should be
When gardening next to me
Is the one person I adore
Making my life happy and bright
Having you as my gardening partner
You make my life a delight

And so I garden on
Loving this time of the year
We two, working with nature
Glad to be close and near
And to here nature calling
It is time to garden
Spring is here
