Supposing . . .
What do you suppose?
Could I maybe help you get undressed?
Could I help you out of your clothes?
Could you picture me as a fireman?
I could dress up in fireman red
And supposing I got really lucky
I could make love to you in my fireman's bed!
Do you suppose that if you really kissed me
That it would tickle all my toes?
When you lay your head upon my shoulder
Its your soft hair that tickles my nose.
Did you ever try to plant a garden?
Did you ever watch a flower grow?
Do you want to see inside my heart?
Do you really want to know?
Each day I look into your eyes
Looking for that glint of love
Supposing that someday you'll love me
A miracle from God above.
I suppose a lot of crazy things
In my dreamers mind
And I suppose that if you really looked
You'd be surprised at what you'd find.
Suppose you could open up your eyes
And uncover your pretty ears
Do you suppose your heart would open up?
If you listened what would you hear?
And supposing we were to lay together
To take a little doze
What would our dreams be all about?
What do you suppose?
