The Tongue is in a Slippery Place

The Book of James
In the old family Bible
Puts the tongue
In a slippery place
Located below the nose
And above the chin
Found in my mouth
Between my teeth
And above the throat
All of which can be found
As part of my face
Which is quite normal
As far a anatomy goes
And seemingly non-threatening
Yet, a very dangerous body part
The tongue that is
Yes, the tongue
Especially when combined
With an unengaged brain
And words are let to slip
Slipping from the mouth
And the lips
And ouch!
I said that?
I didn't mean to
Please forgive
It was my tongues fault
