Happy Birthday to me!

Happy Birthday to me!
Happy Birthday to me!
Want to see my smile?
Just look and you will see it on my face
Plus, I am whole year older and maybe wiser too
Yes, a very happy man I am on this special day
With every bit all to your credit
All of the credit going to you!
Being with you being the best present of all
Yes, Happy Birthday to me!
Thanking you for being with me
Happy Birthday to me!
Happy Birthday to me!

Because of Your Smile

I love to see your smile
And feeling how it makes me feel
Seeing the corners of your mouth
Your lips all happily turned up
With your eyes all a twinkle
Looking like fizzling root beer
And causing my mouth to water
For the taste of your lips and kisses
And all because of your smile

I Want to Please You - I Love You

I try so hard to please you
But I feel that usually I fail
Or so it so often seems
Which leaves me sad
And feeling bad
Often like some kind of cad
But I don't know what to do
Except to try harder to please you
And why?  Very simply, I love you . . .

Watching our Daughter Soar Higher and Higher

Yesterday, near the top of the Tetons
I shared the day with my girl
Our beautiful daughter
And I reminisced . . .
About her birth and life
And how she has blessed you and me
Filling our lives with happiness and love
Causing us to feel both pride and joy
With her being our pride and joy
Growing to womanhood
Watching her every step
Yet, missing having her around
As that beautiful little girl she once was
Making us laugh and sometimes cry
While she wove such sweet memories
Into our lives and into our family's lives
As she soared and continues to soar
Even higher and ever higher
To the top of the Tetons
And beyond . . .

Understanding Adam and Eve

I can understand Adam's surrender to Eve
Because I surrender to you and your charms
Everyday,  every night, every hour, every minute
I am consumed with thoughts of taking your apple
Then giving in to you as you proceed to tempt me
Finding myself defenseless and at your mercy
While trying to hide the big smile on my face
Then saying, "Ok Eve, you lead the way"
Ah, if it were only that simple . . .

Modern Medicines and Walking Off into the Sunset

The man and woman walk off into the sunset
As a chorus sings a mellow "Viva Viagra"
And the man turns to the camera and winks
Followed by brief narrative of praise
Heralding the virtues of "being ready"
With a trailing warning of the downsides
A medical marvel with side effects
And isn't that the sorry truth?
Medical medicine with side effects
Seem to be the new and awful rule
There are cures for just about everything
But you may get constipated or the opposite
And have to deal with Moctezuma's revenge
Joining the proverbial Brown-spot Club
Or your ills could be cured but face worse
Like a heart attack or an exploding body part
Or a body part that makes explosions
But I guess getting a little gas isn't too bad
I mean, after all, I do get gas from Taco Bell
And that really isn't very bad, considering . . .
Yet, the list of medicine caused ills goes on
Including failing eye sight or weak bones
Or losing your hair and going bald
And the list of maladies goes on and on
Which makes a person ask the quesrtion
"What is worse, the ailment or the cure?"
Then there is that other side effect warning
About the four hour erections
And the advisement "To see a doctor immediately"
But how does a person get to the doctor?
After all, it could be difficult driving your car
Or even riding a bicycle or even walking
Wow!  Can you imagine what people would say?
"Hey, did you see that guy walking down the street?"
Or walking into the doctor's office or off into the sunset
Hmmm . . . Must have overdosed on Viagra!
But I guess there are worse ways to go
Even if you have to limp along down the sidewalk
Or ride your bicycle or drive your car side-saddle
Maybe having someone ask you with a smile
"Hey Buddy, whats in your pocket?"
While the mellow music in the background plays
"Viva Viagra!"

Going to Hell or to Heck - We are Doomed

Going to hell in a hand basket
Or as the old pioneers would say
"Going to Heck in a Handcart"
And with all of my widom
Which by the way is minimal
If you listen to what my kids say
"Dad is pretty minimal at best"
That's where our government is going
And doing so in no uncertain terms
"Going to Heck in a Handcart"
With the rest of us shortly on our way
Especially with our greediness
Coupled with our Entitlement Mentality
Of relying on government programs
And all of the related handouts
Our futures look to be doomed
While we wait for the free lunches
And all of our decisions made for us
We are certainly doomed
"Going to Heck in a Handcart"

Household Foreplay

Household foreplay
What can I say?
As I help around the house
I find myself thinking of you
Yes, you my loved spouse
Wanting to hold you close
Caressing you with my eyes
As we work side by side
While secretly day dreaming
Of having you by my side
For other than work reasons
And you know what I mean
But the romancing can wait
At least it can wait for now
As we work together
Because I enjoy being by you
And because it makes me smile
Enjoying what I call
Household foreplay

A Day in My Life

It has been a long day
And I am long beyond tired
I should be asleep in bed
But before I sleep I must write
It is something I must do
Even if it takes all night
So what to write about?
I'll write about my day
Which included getting up late
To get myself going
I even cut my hair
Then took a long shower
After witch I shaved
Then I got dressed
So I could chase the day
But before leaving the house
I got a good-bye kiss
Then it was out of the door
Putting the pedal to the floor
As I drove my truck to work
And as usual my work went well
Being a professor is swell
With my duties and the time
Rapidly passing and ticking by
Then I was back in my truck
And on my way home
To collect another kiss
And with any luck a big hug
Before changing my clothes
To work in the yard
Cutting and loading some firewood
Then tinker in the garage for awhile
And then pausing to smile
When you called me for dinner
Which by the way
Was really gourmet
Making my tummy and me
To feeling like winners
Then after a little TV
It was pajama time
And with a little luck
Some time to play
And pillow talk
Before dream time
And resting for another day

I Caught You Bending Over

Today when I came home from work
I caught you bending over
You were picking something up from off the floor
And from that angle my heart beat a little faster
Although, truth be known, my heart always beats faster
Anytime that I am around you
It is something you just do to me
Not that you really do anything to me
Rather what happens to me each time I look upon you
Regardless whether you are bending over or not
Butt, I mean but, you do have a marvelous behind
Which quite frankly is often on my mind
Just like it was today when I came home from work

Becoming a Babetist

A Babetist
Tha'ts what I am
A religious fanatic
If you want to call it that
Becoming a true convert
From the day we first met
You were and still are
Such a Babe!
And I became a fanatic
For you and your charms
Indeed, becoming a Babetist!

Needing Inspiration Anew

I try to write
On the paper so white
But without any words
The sheet is blank
I try to write
But the words won't come
Making me feel so dumb
The sheet once again is blank
I so wish that the inspiration would return!

My Plea for Inspiration

I'm still in a struggle
In not being able
To capture inspiration
And make the words flow
My get up and go
Seemingly gone
I hope it returns
Before I'm placed in the lawn

Sunday Morning Worship

Sunday morning worship
Getting called to repent
Looking for redemption
And for heavenly messages
That my Lord and God have sent
Sunday morning worship
A time for introspection
A time to count my blessings
And a time for meditation
Sunday morning worship
Plus being a day of rest
It is a day of reflection
Reviewing my earthly test
Sunday morning worship
A day to commune with God
And evaluate my sojourn here
Before they place me in the sod

Most days seem really great
At least to me
And my feeble mind
Most days I think I am agreeable
At least to me
And my feeble way of seeing things
Yet, in trying my best to be agreeable
And see the best in life and in things
You find me to be annoying
To the point of driving you crazy
Or at least so you say . . .
Yet, even the worst of days seem good
At least as comparatively speaking
At least to me and my feeble mind

Time for bed, Or . . . ?

The last entry of the day
Time for bed
Time to hit the hay
Or maybe a time to play
At least maybe some foreplay
And maybe even more
If you know what I mean . . .

Nightmares and a Halloween Night of Dread

Halloween and dark clouds obscure the night
The moon hidden as though it never existed
Visions of witches with boiling pots of brew
Headless horsemen and bloody wrecking crews
Cursed demons and corpses smelling of decay
With evil old Satan himself leading the way
Pointing to fires of smoldering hot raw flesh
The smell of death on the air is not at all fresh
Causing one and all to gag and regurgitate
Over and over again cottage cheesy vomit
A nasty bile that keeps coming up and choking
Invoking thoughts of the worst of nightmares
That make sleep all bu impossible on any night
Let alone this Halloween night of dread

The Tongue is in a Slippery Place

The Book of James
In the old family Bible
Puts the tongue
In a slippery place
Located below the nose
And above the chin
Found in my mouth
Between my teeth
And above the throat
All of which can be found
As part of my face
Which is quite normal
As far a anatomy goes
And seemingly non-threatening
Yet, a very dangerous body part
The tongue that is
Yes, the tongue
Especially when combined
With an unengaged brain
And words are let to slip
Slipping from the mouth
And the lips
And ouch!
I said that?
I didn't mean to
Please forgive
It was my tongues fault

Thanksgiving News Flash!

Thanksgiving news flash!
Turkeys dead - People fed
Stomachs full and pulling downward
Causing the eyelids to close
Sending the well-fed people to bed
Or at least to a nice napping spot
Only to awaken a few hours later
For pumpkin and mincemeat pie
And some great leftover sandwiches
Thanksgiving - What a day to be Thankful for!

Maybe Later Tonight

I know it may sound corny
But honey, I'm feeling horny
Then you reply with "Sound Corny?"
To which we both smile and then laugh
Then I suggest we maybe take a bath
Or a shower would work quite well
You know, the two of us naked
Together, enjoying and sharing
To which you smile and laugh again
Telling me "Maybe later tonight"
An then we both smile
And go about our day
Postponing our play
And love making
Until nighttime

Spring in the Southwest

Spring in the Southwest
Is really the very best
And if you don't believe me
Just put it to the test
With it's cool mornings
A sweater feels good
Pleasant days and afternoons
With pleasant walks
That will make you swoon
Plus ever warm sunshine
That is mostly warm, not hot
Spring in theSouthwest
Isn't at all a bad lot
Then consider cool evenings
That aren't at all cold
Yet make going to bed
A pleasure to hold
Yes, a pleasure to embrace
With just a light cover
Or even just a sheet
To feel really snuggley
For a good nights sleep
Ah, it really is the best
Spring in the Southwest

The Real Joke - Pepsi or Coke?

Pepsi or Coke?
One is the Real Thing
But they both are kind of phony
When you consider their ingredients
High Fructose Corn Syrup?
Are they kidding?
No real sugar?
Now that's a real buggar
Or is it a real booger?
Either way they have sold out
With neither really being real
Which leaves us withe the question
Which is really a joke
Pepsi or Coke?

Retired, But Still Working - Thank You God

Retired, but still working
I don't want to quit
And i wouldn't know how
Even if I wanted to
Because I like what I do
My work is a part of me
It is what I do
Plus, it is what I do well
And what the hell
My life is really swell
After all what a blessing
Do be able to do
Something you enjoy
And love doing
All I can say is Thanks
To a loving God

Shopping for Cars on the Web

Surfing the web
Shopping for cars
Especially a 'vette
Wow! What a dream
To be cruising the road
Hearing the horses scream
Yeah, a real mean machine
How cool it would be
Pedal to the metal
In my own 'vette
In my private dream
As I surf the web
Shopping for cars

Anniversary Eve

Anniversary eve
And we've made it this far
Furthermore, I still love you
And you're still my shinning star
But even beyond the vast heaven
There is something you must know
That my love for you grows ever greater
You carry my heart with you wherever you go
My love for you, a fairy tale love to be sure
Right from the beginning I've loved you
When you first came into my sight
You kindled within me a fire
That everyday burns bright
Feeding my love for you
And feeding desire
Especially tonight
Anniversary eve
