Time to Hit the Ski Slopes

It is about time
To break out the skis
And give them a tune up
Sharpening the edges
Checking the bindings
All to get ready
To hit the slopes
Swooshing through white powder
Carving the mountainside
While feeling the burn
In my thighs and legs
The chill of the wind
Numbing my face
As I race against myself
To the bottom of the run
With Mother Nature
At my side
