John Henry was a steel driving man
And when the snow falls in the Rockies
The male species become snow shoveling men
Often tossing snow with brute strength and a shovel
With the same energies that made John Henry a legend
And indeed true legends abound each winter in the Rockies
As men arise early in the morning after a snowfall
Tossing snow into piles while making snow banks
Clearing driveways, porches, and sidewalks
Causing John Henry's spirit to smile
