Close to God on the Ski Slopes

Often when skiing
Be it in the Andes
Or in Wyoming's Tetons
I have felt close to God
As I have skied in powdery snow
Beneath the clear blue of God's skies
Feeling I could almost touch Heaven
Surveying the majesty and beauty
Of God's grandest creations
Mountains and Heaven
In holy communion
A union of earth
And of sky
