Skiing the soft
Smooth slopes
Of the Tetons
At Gran Targhee
Yet, all I can think of
Is me next to thee
And so I stop halfway down
A double diamond run
To write your name
In a patch of soft snow
Before I go further down
Only to stop once again
To write as before
Just once more
Your name in the snow
Along with a message
Of "I Love You"
And then once again
I am off skiing the soft
Smooth slopes of the Tetons
