Knowing or Not Knowng

 Knowing or not knowing

That is my burden

One that I carry silently 

And quietly . . .

Putting aside curiosity

Siding with ignorance

And the not knowing

It maybe being the less painful

But still wanting to know

Wanting to know if you love me

But afraid of asking

Afraid of what may be the truth

Being the coward that I am

Quietly living in ignorance

Of not knowing
