The desert has been so thirsty
The ground has been so dry
Everything so hot and dusty

But now the rain has finally come
The needed rain is finally here
Quenching the desert's thirst
Blessing our desert dear
So that the desert is not so thirsty
And the ground is not so dry
It is no longer hot and dusty
Enough to make one cry with joy
