Wasting the Day

Here I am
Playing busy at work
Typing away
Accomplishing not much
Just wasting the day

And you
There you are
At home doing the laundry
Accomplishing a lot
While I'm in a quandary

A quandary of wondering
About what to do with my life
Wanting to be at home
Making love to you
My most precious wife

But no
I am here at work
Looking quite busy
Going around and around
My life in a tizzy

I just go in circles
Day after day
Enough to get dizzy
I feel really lost
I need to get busy

But doing what
And finding myself
That is the big question
Of what to do
I 'll take your suggestion

But in the meanwhile
Here I am typing away
