And I tried so hard
To make it special
Hoping to somehow
Touch your heart
Left to wonder if . . .
If you you could love me
And if you love me
Wondering so many things
Then you surprised me
Dropping by the office
With a big Valentines Day cookie
Visiting only a couple of minutes
And leaving me with a kiss
On my hungry lips
The first time you have kissed me
In many, many months
And my heart leaped!
