I heard an old song the other day
That said "It hurts to be in love . . ."
And it left me wondering why?
Yet, I understand that the refrain
Can be very true - love can hurt
But I don't know why?
I have been in love with you
Forever and a day and more
And I do know why . . .
In my life I have never known
Anyone as caring or loving as you
And I know the reasons why . . .
You are one of God's angels
One of His perfect creations
And he had a reason why . . .
I would have been lost forever
If you hadn't come into my life
To become my reason why . . .
And answer eternal questions
Of why be the best you can be
And why reachout to others
Or why help someone to be
All that God meant them to be
And you have done all of this
For me and that is why I love you
