    It is way past midnight
And I'm fighting the fight
    Battling the darkness

    To stay awake
Resisting my urges

    So I stay awake

For as long as I can
    Until fatigue sets in
And then as though dead
    I can collapse into bed
Completely exhausted
    Having won my fight
Having conquered the night
