And this makes me happy
Although I never felt sad
I just take life is stride
I just never feel bad

It is time for bed
The day has been long
I'm ready to sleep
And in bed I belong
Time to say my prayers
Laying me down to sleep
Praying to the Lord

My Prayer to God for More Time

At the moment I feel as though death is knocking at my door
And for sure I don't feel I'm ready to meet my Maker
At least not for awhile longer and just not quite yet
But I'm not afraid to leave this worldly existence
I just don't want to rush anything just yet
There are still things I need to do
Things I still want to accomplish
Maybe a few more adventures
A couple more vacations
More hugs and kisses
Sunrises and sunsets
And the list goes on
So I pray to God
For more time . . .

My Mired Heart - What is My Future?

We seem to take life for granted
At least that has been the case
Having not paid much attention
To my health until recently
And now my heart talks to me
Telling me it is getting tired
Leaving me feeling quite mired
Wondering what the future holds . . .
