The Scents of the Kitchen

Ah, the scents of the kitchen
Comfort food simmering on the stove
Hot stew with the best of all ingredients
Tomato base with carrots and potatoes
And big chunks of savory steak
But no scent in the kitchen can compare
To the alluring scent of the kitchen's chef
Who sends me silently simmering
With desires of sweeping the counter clean
Making a meal of her savory delights
Truly a great comforting food
That satiates my hunger pangs
 As I take in the scents of the kitchen

Wanting to Be Near You

Wanting to be near you
I hover around the kitchen
Looking for ways to be helpful
Although actually seeking excuses
To just be a little closer to you
And breathe in your allure
Adoration with my eyes

I Love the Twinkling of Root Beer Eyes!

Today, each time that our eyes have met
I have felt both joy and sublime happiness
Causing my heart to beat a little faster
As the loving twinkle in your root beer eyes
Has stroked each of the string of my heart
Oh, I love it when our eyes meet in a loving way!

Life Sometimes Quacks Me Up :)

Some days are brighter and more positive than others
And today I am grateful to be somewhat like a duck
In that in letting some run "off my back" like water
The "water" in this case being life's negativity
And I am grateful for being able to hold things in
Because last night and today have been wonderful
Even beyond wonderful in that all has been positive
Making me thankful for being kind of like a duck
Oh! How life never ceases to Quack me up!
